Entity Profile

Overview
TVARIT GmbH is a Frankfurt am Main industrial-AI company selling prescriptive analytics to foundries and metalworking plants under the product name TiA, TVARIT Industrial Artificial Intelligence. It was established in 2019 by Suhas Patel, who remains chief executive. The pitch is narrow and measurable: cut scrap and energy use in casting and hot-forming by combining metallurgical domain knowledge with machine learning rather than generic analytics. Disclosed venture funding totals roughly EUR 9 million. It is a Startuprad.io interview guest and a recurring reference point in the Frankfurt/Rhine-Main deep-tech cluster.

Why this entity matters
TVARIT is one of the clearer DACH tests of whether industrial AI can be sold on measured process outcomes rather than platform promises, and three things carry the case. First, the pricing anchor: DACH manufacturing has no shortage of digitalisation vendors, but little software priced against a line item a plant manager already tracks. Scrap rate and energy per tonne are such items, and the company argues that in metal casting they sit inside profit margins of only five to eight percent, which makes modest percentage gains commercially legible — that margin figure is TVARIT's own characterisation of its customers' economics, not an independently verified statistic. Second, the investor composition. Matterwave Ventures, Momenta and Futury Capital are industrial specialists rather than generalist software funds; Matterwave is the former btov Industrial Technologies team, a EUR 100 million fund writing EUR 1-3 million initial cheques into European industrial hardware and software, and investors of that shape underwrite integration risk, not user growth. Third, the hard part is not the model but plant-floor data, integration and proof on a live line, which is why the company's public evidence is named plants and customers rather than benchmark scores.

Company history and product
TVARIT was founded in Frankfurt in 2019 and is registered at Ludwigstrasse 31, 60327 Frankfurt am Main. Founder attribution is not consistent across sources: TVARIT's own about page and its April 2023 release credit the founding to Suhas Patel alone, while EU-Startups in October 2023 names Suhas Patel and Rahul Prajapat and quotes Prajapat as co-founder and CTO; the current leadership page lists Deepak Singh as CTO.

The product, TiA, provides prescriptive analytics to shopfloor engineers. The approach is described as hybrid AI, combining metallurgical process physics with machine learning and transfer learning so that recommendations can come from limited plant data. Application areas centre on metals — die casting, iron casting, hot forming, welding, aluminium coils and the Bayer process — and extend into dairy, cocoa and chemical processing.

Funding is disclosed in three steps. In May 2022 the company announced EUR 2.8 million led by Munich-based Matterwave Ventures, with Frankfurt's Futury Capital and the Hessen state investor BMH of Wiesbaden participating. In April 2023 it announced a further round led by Momenta and Futury Capital with significant Matterwave reinvestment, stated at EUR 5 million in its own release. In October 2023 EU-Startups reported the same round at EUR 6.5 million and as a Series A once 4impact capital, an SFDR Article 9 impact fund, joined. Performance claims are vendor figures throughout and are not consistent between them: up to 50 percent less scrap and 30 percent lower energy cost in the 2023 announcements, 50 percent scrap and 18 percent energy in the October 2023 EU-Startups report, and later material citing averages nearer 30 percent scrap and 20 percent energy. The company's about page states four patents, more than fifty experts, 55-plus plants impacted and over EUR 14 million saved annually for customers — all company-reported and not independently verified.

Role in the DACH startup and technology ecosystem
TVARIT sits in the Frankfurt/Rhine-Main deep-tech cluster rather than the Berlin or Munich software scenes, a visible example of that region producing industrial rather than consumer or fintech companies. Its cap table is regionally anchored: Futury Capital is Frankfurt-based, with the state of Hesse as anchor investor alongside family offices and German SMEs, and BMH is the Wiesbaden-based Hessen state investor. That places TVARIT inside the Hessen public-private financing chain rather than the Berlin venture chain. It sells into the segment that defines German industrial competitiveness — foundries and metal processors supplying automotive and engineering customers — and its named references come from that base. The delivery model is not German-only: alongside Frankfurt the company runs TVARIT Solutions Pvt. Ltd in Pune and in Vadodara, Gujarat, so the engineering capacity behind a German-sold industrial product is substantially Indian. TVARIT also states three research houses at IIT Bombay, TU Darmstadt and Stanford University, and by October 2023 said it was operating in nine countries across five continents.
